THE classic shirt in a regular fit with a pointed collar, cut from an exclusive Salvatore Piccolo fabric, a Japanese fine check cotton. The check is drawn in blue and brown on a pale, almost white ground. It is small and quiet and reads as a soft, light surface from a distance. Up close it gives the cloth depth and texture. Sleeves, placket and sides are always sewn by hand, which gives the seams a softness and slight irregularity that machine work can’t copy.

The new “Battaglia” collar is pointed and sits cleanly with or without a tie. It comes with collar stays to hold its line. The front is finished in construction type 4 and closed with six plus one buttons. The shirt is cut without darts and has a box pleat for room and ease of movement.
