The "Ehu'kai" is cut from the same Japanese brush fleece as the "Puamana". It was inspired by the early athletic hoods, which were worn as warm-up garments.

Sunray chose their freedom sleeve saddle raglan for the construction, which gives total ease of movement.

Every detail was deliberated over: the size and shape of the hood, the size of the neck opening, and the size and shape of the pouch pocket. The drawcord had to be the original tubular construction, with no lace ends and no metal eyelets.
