Made from Panno Grosso di Casentino, this is a particularly warm, resistant jacket. The thick weave and extensive finishing give the shell fabric natural water-repellency, keeping you warm even when wet - this heavy wool cloth was once used to sew shepherds' capes. The wool comes from sheep that have not undergone mulesing.

The sleeves are lined in Cupro, a smooth-surfaced fibre made from a part of the cotton flower that would otherwise be discarded, giving outstanding moisture-regulating properties: it absorbs and releases body moisture as needed. The padding is 100% pure virgin wool; nature's finest thermal insulator, naturally water-repellent and hygroscopic, moving sweat away from the body without becoming wet itself, and maintaining its thermal properties and steady body heat even when damp.

The jacket closes with a two-way front zipper and a button-fastened windproof flap. Two large hand-warmer pockets sit at the front, alongside an internal zip-closed security pocket. Elastic cuffs seal the sleeves, the waist is adjustable, and the collar is lined in alpaca fur. All leather details are natural, vegetable-tanned leather.
