Passion, family and handicraft. That’s Silvano Sassetti’s story. Born from a deep desire rooted in the extraordinary land of Marches, a region devoted to shoe tradition from ancient times. The Sassetti shoe-factory was founded in a house in Monte San Pietrangeli in 1977. Silvano, together with his brother Fiore, gave birth to a tradition soaked with the smell of leather. Fiore looked after commercial tasks and the interaction with their customers who quickly became addicted to Silvano’s creations.

In 1996, the two brothers decided to go their seperate ways – with no hard feelings - in order to create their own new experiences. After the seperation from his brother, Silvano's new mission was to be an entrepreneur himself, without betraying his artisan soul. For the first time, he had to promote his own creations, this time with his partner in life and adventure, his wife. The biggest luxury brands soon started taking notice, with whom he started to collaborate. The production for third parties was then followed by the creation of his own unique brand, which reached an annual turnover of just 10% at the start. Andrea and Emanuele, Silvano’s sons, inherited their father's passion and joined the family business, the perfect combination of handicraft, know-how and experimentation (that were and are still elements of their products). Andrea and Emanuele’s intuition and passion allowed the Sassetti shoe-factory to become one of the most important and appreciated labels in the country with a branch in Monte San Pietrangeli, and a showroom in Milan.

It’s a symbol of “Made in Italy” and Italian handicraft, cherished the world over.
