The idea of Broken Twill denim was to create a fabric that would not exist like Right-hand or Left-hand twill after washing. It is easily identified by the zig-zag structure of the weave, compared to the diagonal structure of the Right- or Left Hand. It was invented in the 60’s but never became as famous as the 3by1 Right Hand twill, even though it works as intended and offers a more pliable fabric.
